About ptvold

ptvold is an independent, English-language publication about digital money, fintech and crypto in Pakistan. We report news on PVARA licensing, State Bank of Pakistan rules, Raast, digital banks, wallets and remittances, and we keep a practical money reference: bank SWIFT codes and IBAN formats, Easypaisa and JazzCash codes, and transfer charges and limits.

Short answer ptvold explains how money moves in Pakistan, with every code, fee and licence status linked to its official source and the date we checked it.

What we do

  • News from official sources: the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (PVARA), the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and companies’ own announcements. Each story says what changed, who is affected and what it means for you.
  • Reference pages for the jobs people search for every day: the SWIFT code and IBAN to give a sender abroad, the USSD code for your mobile network, the charge on an interbank transfer.
  • Tools that run in your browser, such as the IBAN checker, which validates an IBAN without sending it anywhere.

How we work

Every figure, code and licence status on ptvold shows where it comes from and when we last checked it. If a bank or regulator does not publish something, we say “not published” rather than guess. Figures checked more than 90 days ago are marked “May be outdated” until we check them again. Read our methodology and editorial policy.

We do not recommend banks, wallets or crypto platforms, and nothing on ptvold is financial advice.

ptvold is an independent publication, not affiliated with Pakistan Television Corporation. We are not a bank, a wallet or a payment service: we cannot send or receive money for you, and we will never ask for your PIN, OTP, CNIC or card details.
