How a Pakistani IBAN is built
A Pakistani IBAN has 24 characters: the country code PK, two check digits, a four-letter bank code and a 16-digit account number. The check digits are calculated with the ISO 13616 mod-97 method, so most typing mistakes, such as one wrong or swapped character, make the check fail.

Need your own IBAN?
Get it from your bank: it appears in the bank's app, on your cheque book or statement, and many banks offer an official IBAN generator on their website. Don't build an IBAN yourself from the account number: the padding and check digits must come from the bank.
WarningA valid IBAN only means the number is well formed. It doesn't prove who owns the account. Confirm the account title with the person you are paying before you send money.

Does a valid result mean the account exists?
No. The check confirms the structure and the check digits. Only the bank can confirm that an account exists and who holds it.
Is what I type sent anywhere?
No. The check runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or stored.
Why does the tool not generate IBANs?
Because only your bank knows how your account number is padded into the 16-digit account part. Use your bank's app or its official generator.
