Short answer We take codes, fees, limits and licence statuses only from the organisation that sets them, show the source and the date we checked it next to every figure, and mark anything older than 90 days as possibly outdated.
| Type of fact | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Rules on transfers, Raast, IBFT, wallets | State Bank of Pakistan ↗ circulars and official pages |
| Crypto licensing and platform status | PVARA ↗ and its official announcements |
| Capital-market rules | SECP ↗ |
| SWIFT/BIC codes, IBAN bank codes, branch codes | The bank’s own website or official documents |
| Fees and charges | The bank’s or wallet’s own Schedule of Charges |
| USSD codes | The wallet provider’s or mobile network’s official pages |
| Remittance figures | SBP data |
Pakistani media such as Business Recorder, Dawn, The News, ProPakistani and Express Tribune are useful news leads, and we cite them by name when we report what they say. They are never our only source for a fee, a code or a licence status.
Blogs, videos and code-list websites help us find where an official page is. We never copy a code or a figure from them.
Every figure carries the date we last checked it, written as “checked” followed by the date. When that date is more than 90 days old, the page marks the figure “May be outdated” until we check it again. Codes and charges change, so please confirm with your bank or wallet before you rely on a figure for a large payment.
If a bank or regulator does not publish a figure, we write “not published”. We do not estimate, average or fill gaps from unofficial sources.
A platform appears as approved only if PVARA has granted it a no-objection certificate (NOC) or a licence. Platforms that have applied are described as applicants, never as approved. Platforms with neither appear only in warnings.
The IBAN checker validates the structure and check digits of a Pakistani IBAN using the ISO 13616 method. It runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. It does not create an IBAN from an account number: only your bank can do that.
