Tip On a Jazz, Zong or Ufone SIM,
*786#is not the Easypaisa code. On Jazz, for example,*786#is the JazzCash code. Use*2262#for Easypaisa.
Easypaisa’s official pages do not publish separate short codes for checking your balance, sending money, transferring to a bank account, a mini statement, bill payments or mobile load. Dial your network’s main code and choose the option from the menu that appears. Easypaisa’s own help pages describe these services step by step in the app.
Codes for these actions that circulate on blogs and videos, such as *786*0#, are not confirmed by Easypaisa, so we don’t list them.
Easypaisa says you can “simply dial our USSD code to use your easypaisa account without the app”, and that an account “can be easily made on any network (Jazz, Ufone, Zong, Telenor) on any number”. Easypaisa can be used only through its app or its USSD code, not through a website.
Easypaisa does not publish which account levels can use every USSD service. Upgrading your account level is described in the app.
Warning Easypaisa says that anyone who asks for your OTP is a fraudster: “Do not talk to them or share any details”. Never share your 5-digit PIN either. If you sell something, a payment SMS or screenshot is not proof of payment: check your own Easypaisa balance before you hand over the goods. Report fraud on 3737.
Easypaisa is run by Easypaisa Bank Limited. The State Bank of Pakistan granted it a digital retail bank licence and declared it a scheduled bank with effect from January 23, 2025 (SBP notification ↗).
On a Zong SIM, dial *2262#. The same code works on Jazz and Ufone. *786# is the code for Telenor SIMs.
Dial *786# on Telenor or *2262# on Jazz, Zong or Ufone, and choose the balance option in the menu. Easypaisa does not publish a separate short code for the balance.
Easypaisa publishes *786*8*1# for resetting the PIN and reactivating an account blocked by wrong PIN attempts. You enter your 13-digit CNIC and then a new 5-digit PIN twice. Easypaisa does not say whether this code works on networks other than Telenor; on Jazz, Zong or Ufone, call the helpline on (021 / 042 / 051) 111-003-737.
