Short answer Bank Alfalah lets a resident Pakistani aged 18 or older apply for an Asaan Digital Current or Savings Account through its RAPID portal. Start with your own CNIC or SNIC, a mobile number registered in your name, a live photograph and the source-of-income declaration requested by the portal. The bank advertises no minimum balance for these two accounts. It lists a PKR 3 million maximum credit balance and a PKR 1 million monthly debit limit for each.
Bank Alfalah describes RAPID as its online account-opening portal. The published eligibility panel for the Asaan Digital Savings Account names four basic conditions:
The bank’s separate RAPID eligibility page shows routes for salaried applicants, students, people who are unemployed, retired people, landlords, agriculturists, business owners, self-employed people and freelancers. The document prompt can change with the customer type selected in the application.

The digital route is an application, not automatic approval. Bank Alfalah says it reviews the details and documents before confirming activation. The live form may request additional information to meet regulatory or internal checks.
The current and savings versions share the digital application route and the same published balance and monthly-debit limits. Their purpose differs.
| Account | What the bank publishes |
|---|---|
| Asaan Digital Current Account | No minimum balance; designed for transactions; first cheque book listed as free |
| Asaan Digital Savings Account | No minimum balance; profit calculated on the monthly average balance and paid semi-annually |
| Both | RAPID application, debit-card options, Alfa app and web access, inward home remittances, PKR 3 million credit balance limit and PKR 1 million monthly debit limit |
A profit rate is not fixed on the product page. If you choose savings, open the bank’s current profit-rate document before relying on a percentage. For either account, check the latest schedule of charges for cards, replacement items and services that are not explicitly free.
The bank also offers Islamic and other specialised digital accounts. Their documents, features and limits can differ. Do not select a product merely because all of them appear inside RAPID.
Bank Alfalah’s Asaan account eligibility page lists these common items:
The public product pages summarise the route as opening with a CNIC and minimal documentation. The RAPID checklist is more useful while preparing because it shows the extra capture and declaration steps.
Use documents belonging to the applicant. A mobile number registered to someone else may fail the identity check. Do not send scans, passwords, PINs or one-time codes to a person who contacts you unexpectedly. Begin at Bank Alfalah’s own website and move to the RAPID portal from there.
Bank Alfalah describes the sequence as initiating the application, providing documents, review and account activation. It does not publish a universal approval time on the pages checked for this guide. Avoid treating a successfully submitted form as an opened account until the bank confirms activation.

The bank publishes the following figures for both the current and savings product pages:
Account limits
- Maximum credit balance: PKR 3,000,000
- Monthly debit limit: PKR 1,000,000
The credit-balance limit is the maximum amount the product is designed to hold under its published terms. The monthly debit limit concerns money leaving the account during a month. It is not a promise that every single transaction, cash withdrawal or card payment can use the full monthly amount.
The bank says a term deposit booked through an Asaan account is clubbed with the credit-balance limit. It also says inward home remittances are allowed but commercial remittances are not. If your intended credits come from business invoices or commercial work, confirm the appropriate account type with the bank instead of routing them through an Asaan product.

Bank Alfalah lists Alfa app and web access for the Asaan Digital Current and Savings Accounts. It also says debit cards are available, while the precise card and its charges depend on the selection and current fee schedule.
The current-account page lists the first cheque book as free. The savings page says a cheque book is available on request and uses an asterisk pointing readers to product terms and charges. Keep those statements separate: a feature can be available without every later issuance or service being free.
The product pages also advertise e-statements and transaction alerts. Check the application summary before accepting paid add-ons or optional services.
Both product pages say inward home remittances are allowed and commercial remittances are not. That is narrower than saying the account accepts every international payment.
A sender may still need the beneficiary’s exact account title, IBAN and the bank details required by the sending institution. Do not copy an IBAN from an example. Find the IBAN assigned to your account after activation. Our IBAN checker can test the format and checksum of a Pakistani IBAN, but it cannot confirm ownership or whether the account is active.
If the account will primarily serve a non-resident Pakistani, compare the eligibility and purpose of a Roshan Digital Account before choosing a resident Asaan product.
Use this final check:
A rejected or incomplete application should be resolved through the contact details published by the bank. Do not pay an intermediary to “guarantee” approval.
The bank markets its Asaan Digital Current and Savings Accounts as branchless applications through RAPID. A later verification or service request may still require action specified by the bank.
Bank Alfalah publishes no minimum balance requirement for the Asaan Digital Current and Asaan Digital Savings Accounts.
The current product pages checked on 15 October 2026 list a PKR 3 million maximum credit balance for both accounts.
The bank says inward home remittances are allowed. It says commercial remittances are not allowed for these Asaan products.
The bank says profit is calculated on the monthly average balance and paid semi-annually. The rate is not fixed on the product page, so check the bank’s current profit-rate publication.
