Home › Bank codes › Faysal Bank account opening
Short answer Faysal Bank’s Burraq Digital Account is for resident Pakistanis with a valid CNIC or SNIC. Prepare proof of occupation, proof of income and a digital signature. The bank offers PKR and USD digital current and savings options, plus several specialised PKR products. Faysal Bank says an approved digital account is opened within two working days, but submission is not approval.
Faysal Bank lists four core document requirements for the Burraq Digital Account. CNIC means Computerised National Identity Card; SNIC is the smart identity card.

The bank does not publish one universal example of acceptable occupation and income evidence on this page. Prepare documents that match your actual work and source of funds, then follow the upload fields shown for the product you select. Do not substitute an unrelated document because another bank accepts it.
The Burraq Digital Account page states that the applicant must be a resident Pakistani with a valid CNIC or SNIC.
This is not the same as the bank’s Roshan Digital Account route for non-resident Pakistanis. Overseas applicants should use the bank’s Roshan Digital Account information rather than starting the resident Burraq journey.
An existing Faysal Bank customer can apply for a Burraq Digital Account, according to the bank’s FAQ, except an existing Asaan account holder. The bank does not say on that page that every existing account can be converted. Treat a new application and a product conversion as different requests.
The official page lists these digital account categories:
The ordinary digital current account is based on Qard, while the savings account is based on Mudarabah. Product rules, limits and returns can differ. Select the actual product before relying on a feature or requirement.
The page says standard Digital Accounts are available in PKR and USD. That does not mean every category in the list is available in both currencies: the Asaan, remittance and freelancer options are labelled PKR on the bank’s list.
Faysal Bank’s onboarding guide shows this sequence:
This is a documentation-based checklist. ptvold did not open or test an account. The live form can change, and its field instructions take priority if they differ from an older screenshot in the PDF.
Faysal Bank’s Burraq FAQ says the Faysal Burraq app performs biometric verification during onboarding. The bank’s mobile-banking page separately says customers provide biometric verification as digital consent and points existing customers to Profile → Account Verification in Faysal DigiBank.
Those are two different contexts. Follow the route shown for your application instead of assuming an existing-customer menu replaces the onboarding check.
Do not share a verification code, MPIN or password with someone offering to complete the process. Use the official portal or app and the bank’s published support channels if the biometric step fails.
Faysal Bank says a Burraq Digital Account will be opened within two working days. It also says confirmation is sent to the registered email address and mobile number.
That is the bank’s published service time, not a guarantee that every submitted form is approved. Incorrect details, an unreadable document or a request for more information can interrupt the process. Keep the reference supplied by the official application and respond through the bank’s own channel.
The page lists e-statements, internet banking and mobile banking among the complimentary services. It marks cheque books and pay orders with a condition: a Rs50,000 monthly average balance.
Do not read that condition as a universal minimum balance for opening every product. It is attached to the two marked services on the page. Check the selected product’s current terms and schedule of charges before ordering a cheque book or pay order.
Faysal Bank says the account can be accessed through Faysal DigiBank after registration. The bank’s mobile-banking page says registration itself is free for eligible account holders, but service and transaction charges can still depend on the product and the bank’s current schedule.
faysalbank.com page or the bank’s official app, not a link sent by an unknown account. For the bank’s published SWIFT identifier, see Faysal Bank SWIFT code. A SWIFT code is for routing an international bank transfer; it is not part of the local account-opening form.
