Can Easypaisa receive international remittances?

Yes. Easypaisa can receive international remittances when the sender chooses a supported wallet payout route.

A normal overseas bank transfer, card payment or client invoice does not automatically land in the wallet. Bank Alfalah’s official announcement says its sending partners can route international remittances directly into Easypaisa accounts around the clock. It also describes an over-the-counter-to-wallet option for remittances that were originally booked for cash collection. The service is a remittance channel, not a general foreign-currency account.

What the sender needs to choose

Ask the sender or remittance provider whether Easypaisa mobile wallet is available as a payout method for Pakistan. If it is, the sender should select that option and enter the recipient details exactly as the provider requests.

Do not substitute an Easypaisa number in a form that asks for a bank IBAN or SWIFT code. Those fields describe a bank-account transfer. If the provider only offers bank deposit or cash pickup, use one of those supported routes instead.

Bank Alfalah says direct wallet receipt is available through its sending partners. Confirm that the remittance company currently offers Easypaisa wallet payout before paying.

Details the recipient should check

Before the sender confirms the transfer, the recipient should verify:

  • the mobile number registered to the Easypaisa account
  • the account holder’s name as recorded in Easypaisa
  • whether the wallet is active and able to receive money
  • the transaction reference supplied by the remittance provider
  • the amount in Pakistani rupees that the recipient is expected to receive

The sending service may ask for more identity information to meet its own checks. Use the provider’s current form and do not send identity documents through an unofficial chat account or social-media page.

Direct wallet credit and cash-to-wallet conversion

The Bank Alfalah arrangement describes two related routes.

With direct wallet credit, an eligible remittance booked through a Bank Alfalah sending partner is paid into the Easypaisa account.

With cash-to-wallet conversion, a remittance booked for over-the-counter collection can be moved into the recipient’s mobile wallet through the supported process. Do not assume every cash-pickup transfer can be converted after it has been sent. The payout partner and the transaction itself must support that option.

Once the money is in the wallet, Bank Alfalah says the recipient can use Easypaisa services including IBFT transfers, savings and mobile top-ups.

Is this the same as receiving freelance payments?

No. An international home remittance is a specific payout product. A company paying an invoice or a platform paying freelance earnings may use a different channel, with different purpose codes, records and compliance checks.

If a client wants to pay you, ask the payment service whether it supports Easypaisa wallet payouts in Pakistan for that payment type. Do not describe a family-remittance route as a business-payment account. A bank account or a payment platform’s documented Pakistan withdrawal method may be the correct route.

Fees, exchange rate and limits

Fees, exchange rates, delivery times and transaction limits are set by the sending service and the applicable Easypaisa account rules. Review the figures shown for the actual transfer before paying.

Before the sender pays, compare the provider’s:

  • transfer fee
  • exchange rate
  • final rupee amount
  • expected delivery time
  • cancellation and refund terms

The amount advertised as a zero-fee transfer can still produce a weaker exchange rate. Compare the rupees the recipient will receive, not only the fee line.

If the money does not arrive

Keep the receipt and transaction reference. First check the mobile number and recipient name on the transfer. Then ask the sending provider whether the transfer was released, rejected or placed under review.

A message that says “sent” may only mean the sender completed the order. It does not prove that Easypaisa credited the wallet. For a structured follow-up, use the steps in our remittance tracking guide.

If the provider confirms successful payout but the wallet balance does not show it, contact Easypaisa through the support details in the app or on its official website. Share the reference, date, amount and sender’s provider. Never share an OTP, PIN or app password.

Questions

Can money from abroad go straight to my Easypaisa number?

Only when the sending service offers Easypaisa mobile wallet as a Pakistan payout method. Enter the recipient details in that wallet option, not in a bank-transfer form.

Can I use Easypaisa where a form asks for IBAN or SWIFT?

No. Those fields are for a bank-account transfer. Choose a supported wallet route, bank deposit or cash pickup instead.

What should I keep if the transfer is delayed?

Keep the receipt, transaction reference, sender’s provider, amount, date and the mobile number used for payout. Do not share an OTP, PIN or app password.
