Allied Bank Account Opening: Documents and Digital Route

Allied Bank account opening: documents for branch, resident digital and overseas applications.

Allied Bank account opening requirements depend on the account you choose and whether you apply at a branch or through the myPakistan Digital Account service. Regular accounts need identity and supporting income documents. Allied’s Asaan account has a simpler document requirement. Resident digital onboarding and a non-resident Roshan Digital Account are separate application routes.

Short answer Bring your original valid identity document to a branch, plus the supporting documents for your occupation and account type. For resident digital onboarding, prepare clear CNIC or SNIC images, a live photograph and the contact details used for verification. The Asaan variant does not require income proof.

What regular branch applicants should prepare

Allied’s detailed requirements separate proof of your profession from proof of the amount you earn. You do not need every document listed for an occupation. The bank says one document can satisfy both requirements if it evidences both.

A salaried applicant can use an employee card, employer letter or employment contract for profession, and a salary slip, salary certificate or another accepted earnings record for income. A freelancer can use a business or proprietor letterhead showing their name and contact details, or other evidence of freelance work; account statements and payment receipts are among the accepted income documents.

Students need a student ID or educational institution letter, the funds provider’s identity document, and that person’s applicable occupation and earnings evidence. Dependants similarly use the funds provider’s documents. Pensioners can provide retirement evidence and a pension book or other evidence of retirement income.

The full Allied document list ↗ also covers landlords, foreign nationals and special identity situations. Foreign applicants have additional visa or legal-stay requirements. Do not treat the resident digital checklist as the complete list for every applicant.

Steps

  1. Choose the account and route. Decide whether you are applying for a regular account, an Asaan variant or an account with different eligibility.
  2. Prepare the matching documents. Take original identity and supporting documents to the branch. For digital onboarding, use readable images and prepare for live photo capture.
  3. Start on the bank’s official channel. Allied’s myPakistan Digital Account page ↗ describes online opening for residents through its website or myABL platform.
  4. Complete the requested verification. Use your own mobile number and email. For standard digital accounts, provide income evidence; a signature specimen is required when opting for a cheque book.
  5. Check the application outcome. Submission and account activation are different stages. Follow the status and any document request from Allied.

Digital opening is not the same as overseas opening

The myPakistan service is for residents of Pakistan. Its product page lists Asaan Digital, Asaan Digital Remittances, Freelancer Digital, savings and current account options.

Allied’s Roshan checklist is for non-residents. It includes a passport with entry and exit stamps, proof of non-resident status, profession or income evidence, a live photograph and a scanned signature. An overseas applicant should follow that route rather than substituting the resident checklist.

Minor and business accounts have additional requirements. Allied’s child-account checklist names the child’s B-Form or Juvenile Card, the guardian’s CNIC or SNIC and the guardian’s income proof. Entity accounts require documents appropriate to their legal structure.

How long it takes

  • Application: prepare and submit the documents for your chosen account.
  • Review: standard accounts go through Allied’s review and compliance process; requests for missing documents affect progress.
  • Activation: rely on the bank’s application status. Do not plan a payment around an assumed instant approval.

After opening, use the separate Allied Bank IBAN guide and SWIFT code reference for receiving details.

Questions

Does Allied Bank require income proof for an Asaan account?

Allied’s document page says resident Pakistani individuals can open an Asaan account with their valid original identity document and no additional supporting documents. Its digital checklist also exempts the Asaan variant from income proof. Other account types have different requirements.

Can I open an Allied Bank account online?

Yes. The bank describes myPakistan Digital Account onboarding for residents through its website or myABL platform. Prepare the documents for your selected variant and complete the requested identity verification.

What documents does a student need for a regular Allied account?

The bank lists a student ID or institution letter, the funds provider’s valid identity document and that person’s applicable profession and earnings evidence. That regular-account checklist differs from the simpler Asaan document requirement.

Can overseas Pakistanis use the same checklist?

Not for a Roshan Digital Account. Allied publishes a separate non-resident checklist with passport and residency evidence as well as identity, income or profession, live photograph and signature documents.
