Faysal Bank gives the Pakistan format as a fixed 24-character identifier:
| Part | Length | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Country code | 2 | Pakistan uses PK |
| Check digits | 2 | Used to detect many typing errors |
| Bank code | 4 | Identifies the bank |
| Account part | 16 | Carries the account identifier in the national format |
The check digits are calculated from the whole IBAN. A string that looks plausible can still be invalid, so do not guess missing digits.
Our Pakistan IBAN checker can validate the length, structure and checksum of an IBAN you already have. It does not generate an IBAN from an account number.
An IBAN identifies your specific account. A SWIFT or BIC identifies the bank used for an international transfer.
A sender abroad may need both:
For the bank code and the special Roshan Digital Account routing code, use our Faysal Bank SWIFT guide. Do not substitute the SWIFT code for the IBAN.
After obtaining the IBAN:
An IBAN can be shared for receiving a transfer, but it is still account information. Send it only to the person or service that needs to pay you. Never share an OTP, password, MPIN or card PIN.
Check whether you included the branch code and whether the account number has 14 or 16 digits, as the page requires. Remove spaces or punctuation only if the form instructs you to.
If the number still fails, use the IBAN on your statement or contact Faysal Bank through its official website or app. Do not use an unofficial IBAN generator or a bank-code directory to fill in missing details.
Pakistan IBANs have 24 characters, according to Faysal Bank’s calculator page.
Use the bank’s own calculator. It accepts a 14- or 16-digit account number including the branch code. Do not calculate the result manually.
