1. HBL’s official IBAN generator. HBL has a page titled “IBAN Generator” for Pakistan at hbl.com/personal/remittance/vas/iban-generator ↗. We could not load the page’s contents when we checked, so we can’t confirm which details it asks for. Use only this address on hbl.com.
HBL also has a separate IBAN generator for HBL UAE ↗. It is for HBL UAE accounts only, not for accounts in Pakistan.
2. Your branch. HBL’s Additional Request Form, which you submit at the branch, has an “Existing IBAN” field and pre-printed IBAN boxes starting with PK and HABB. Your branch can confirm your IBAN.
3. The helpline. Call HBL on 111-111-425 (from abroad, +92-21-111-111-425).
HBL does not publish in-app steps for finding your IBAN. The list of topics in the HBL Mobile user manual that we checked has no IBAN topic. HBL also has a guide page, “Guide to IBAN, SWIFT and BIC”, on hbl.com, but we could not load its contents to confirm what it says. Steps you may see on blogs, such as a menu path in the app or a USSD code, are not confirmed by HBL, so we don’t repeat them.

The bank code HABB is the first four letters of HBL’s SWIFT code, HABBPKKA. HBL’s own forms, such as its Funds Transfer Application Form, print “PK HABB” at the start of the IBAN boxes. HBL’s pages that we could read do not explain what the 16-digit account part contains, for example whether your branch code is inside it, so we don’t guess.
Paste an IBAN into our IBAN checker to see whether it is valid. It only validates an IBAN; it does not create one. For your own IBAN, use HBL’s generator, your branch or the helpline.
HBL’s FastTransfer sender form asks for the account name, account number and “IBAN Number (where applicable)”, along with the bank name, branch code and name, and bank city and address. Your branch code is in HBL’s branch list ↗. For a transfer from another country, the sender also needs HBL’s SWIFT code: see HBL SWIFT code and receiving money from abroad.
If the money comes to a Konnect Home Remittance Account instead, HBL says your account number is your Konnect-registered mobile number, and you share that number with the sender.
Warning Your IBAN identifies your account; your PIN and card details are secret. HBL’s card safety guidance says never share your PIN with anybody, do not hand over your card to any bank official and do not give card information over the phone unless you made the call. HBL’s outbound caller ID in Pakistan is 14250/14251. On its official LinkedIn page in July 2026, HBL said it never calls customers from 111-111-425; that number only receives calls.
