Where the code comes from

Meezan Bank prints its SWIFT code in its Nostro accounts list (dated 7/6/2023) as “MEZN PK KA”. The bank adds a note that “SWIFT codes do not contain blank spaces” and that the spaces are only for clarity. When you give it to a sender, write it as one word: MEZNPKKA. Its first four letters, MEZN, are also the bank code inside every Meezan IBAN.

Is there a separate code for Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad?

No branch-level code is published by Meezan. We found no page or document on meezanbank.com that lists 11-character SWIFT codes for individual branches, such as a Lahore or Karachi branch. Some code-lookup websites list Lahore codes for Meezan, but the bank does not confirm them, so we don’t repeat them here.

If a sender’s bank insists on an 11-character code, call Meezan’s 24/7 call centre on +92 (21) 111-331-331 and ask before the money is sent.

SWIFT code and IBAN are different

The SWIFT code identifies the bank. The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) identifies your own account. A sender abroad usually needs both.

Meezan’s IBAN is 24 characters. The bank describes it this way:

Meezan’s own example: account number 1234567890 at branch code 0101 gives the IBAN PK10MEZN0001011234567890. This is the bank’s sample, not a real account.

Receiving money from abroad

Meezan says the IBAN “can be used to receive inward remittances from abroad”. For a bank transfer, give the sender the details in the box above: the bank’s full name, MEZNPKKA and your 24-character IBAN. Meezan’s home remittance page does not publish a full list of the details a sender needs, so the sender’s bank or money transfer company may ask for more, such as your name exactly as on the account.

  • Online transfer: instant credit to a Meezan Bank account at any branch in Pakistan.

  • Inter-bank fund transfer: to any 1-Link member bank, instantly.
  • Mobile wallets: instant credit.

Warning Meezan Bank says it “will never contact any customer and request electronic banking credentials”, and that it will never ask for your card or account information, PIN or password on WhatsApp. If you get such a call, hang up and call the bank. If you think your login ID or passcode has been stolen, call 111-331-331 at once. On its official LinkedIn page, Meezan also said in January 2026 that it does not call customers from its UAN numbers 021-111-331-331 and 021-111-331-332, so a call from these numbers asking for information is not the bank.
