MCB Bank publishes one way on its website: its official IBAN Generator. MCB’s page titled “Check and Test Your IBAN with our IBAN Generator in Pakistan” is at mcb.com.pk/iban-tracker-form ↗. The form did not load when we checked, so we can’t confirm which details it asks for. Use only this address on mcb.com.pk.
Because an MCB IBAN keeps your 16-digit account number unchanged at the end, your account number is the key detail. See the structure below.
MCB does not publish steps for finding your IBAN in the MCB Live app or internet banking. The MCB Live FAQs we checked list account and statement features but no IBAN item. MCB also does not say on the pages we read whether the IBAN is printed on your statement. Steps you may see on blogs are not confirmed by MCB, so we don’t repeat them. MCB’s own example: existing account number 0646609971000177 gives the IBAN PK24 MUCB 0646 6099 7100 0177. This is the bank’s sample, not a real account to send money to. It is printed in groups of four for reading; the IBAN itself has no spaces.
MCB says an IBAN “is not a new account number, but simply a new format for an existing bank account number”. The last 16 digits are your existing account number, but the two check digits are calculated, so you can’t build a correct IBAN just by adding PK and MUCB in front. Get it from the generator or the bank.

MCB asks customers “to ensure that the IBAN for their account is communicated to all parties from whom an international remittance or inter-bank funds transfer to their account(s) is expected.” For a transfer from another country, the sender also needs MCB’s SWIFT code: see MCB Bank SWIFT code and receiving money from abroad.
Warning MCB says: “Please note that banks will never ask you for your personal information on phone or by email and that you will be liable for any financial loss in the event you share your credentials with anyone claiming to belong to the bank, Law enforcement or Regulatory agencies or representatives of social benefit programs of the Government of Pakistan.” Your IBAN is safe to share with a sender; your passwords, PINs and OTPs are not.
