Home › Wallets › Easypaisa vs JazzCash
Short answer Easypaisa and JazzCash are separate mobile wallets run by two different SBP-licensed banks: Easypaisa by Easypaisa Bank Limited, JazzCash by Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited. In both, your account number is your mobile number and you sign up with your CNIC. They differ in USSD codes, in what each publishes about an IBAN, and in how money from abroad reaches them. You can send money from one to the other. This page compares facts only; it does not pick a winner.

Each wallet’s full details are on its own pages: Easypaisa codes, Easypaisa account opening, Easypaisa IBAN, JazzCash codes, JazzCash account opening and JazzCash IBAN.
Easypaisa. Easypaisa Bank Limited runs it. The State Bank of Pakistan granted the bank a digital retail bank licence and declared it a scheduled bank with effect from January 23, 2025 (SBP notification ↗). The app’s publisher on the app stores is Easypaisa Bank Limited.
JazzCash. Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited runs it. MMBL’s financial statements say it received its microfinance licence from SBP on September 12, 2011, and offers branchless banking under an SBP branchless banking licence through an agency agreement with Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Jazz), a related party. The bank’s ultimate parent is Veon Limited (MMBL financial statements, June 2025 ↗).
So the two are not the same company, and an Easypaisa account and a JazzCash account are held at different banks.
From Easypaisa, the bank says you can “Transfer money to another easypaisa account or mobile wallet like JazzCash, SadaPay and others from your easypaisa app within Pakistan”. It also lists “Send Money to Bank (IBFT)” and a Raast option.
A transfer between two different institutions is an interbank transfer. SBP’s IBFT rule covers wallets as well as bank accounts: at least Rs25,000 a month is free per account or wallet, and above that the fee is at most 0.1% of the amount or Rs200, whichever is lower (SBP PSD Circular No. 02 of 2021 ↗). Raast transfers are free for customers. Details: IBFT charges and IBFT vs Raast.
Inside Easypaisa, its money-transfer FAQ says transfers to another Easypaisa account are free for the first five a month, 1% (including tax) for the 6th to 10th, and 2% (including tax) from the 11th (Easypaisa money transfer ↗ · checked 2026-10-10).
If a JazzCash transfer fails, JazzCash says the amount is reversed to your wallet automatically; if it has not come back within 24 hours, call 051-111-124-444 (JazzCash ↗ · checked 2026-10-10).
Warning Both wallets warn about fraud. Easypaisa says anyone who asks for your OTP is a fraudster, and JazzCash requires your MPIN for every transaction: never share either. If you sell something, a payment SMS or screenshot is not proof of payment. Check your own balance in the app before you hand over the goods.
Easypaisa says its account can receive “remittances in your account from other countries such as UK, US, Australia and others”, “through Bank Alfalah partners”, and that you “Enter secret code in to your easypaisa account to receive remittance”.
JazzCash says: “Visit an exchange house or use a partner app, select Pakistan, choose JazzCash, and funds will be transferred to your wallet.” It adds that some transactions go through AML screening, which can take up to 2 days. Freelancers can link Payoneer inside the JazzCash app; JazzCash gives a US$5 minimum withdrawal and says Payoneer charges 3% on withdrawals.

Easypaisa is run by Easypaisa Bank Limited, which SBP licensed as a digital retail bank and declared a scheduled bank with effect from January 23, 2025.
We don’t rank wallets. Compare the table above with what you need, for example the code your SIM’s network supports, whether you need an IBAN, or how your family abroad will send money.
Easypaisa shows each account’s IBAN in its app. JazzCash publishes only a fixed IBAN for linking Payoneer, which JazzCash says is not linked to your mobile account number. For an IBAN for your JazzCash account, ask JazzCash on 111-124-444.
