Where the code comes from

JS Bank publishes its SWIFT code in its own documents on jsbl.com. The Pakistan nostro account list, uploaded in March 2026, names the beneficiary bank for every currency as “JS BANK LIMITED Beneficiary Bank SWIFT BIC JSBLPKKA”.

The bank’s routing details for different currencies, dated June 2025, give the 11-character form in field 57A of a SWIFT payment: “JSBLPKKAXXX JS BANK LIMITED KARACHI PK PAKISTAN”, with the beneficiary’s IBAN and account title in field 59A. JSBLPKKA and JSBLPKKAXXX refer to the same head office.

The same document also lists JS Bank’s wholesale banking branch in Bahrain under a different code. That code is not for accounts in Pakistan.

Roshan Digital Account holders

JS Bank’s Roshan Digital Account (RDA) page says RDAs “can be funded through remittances from the account holder themselves through formal channels i.e., banks or money transfer companies (Swift code: JSBLPKKARDA).” Use JSBLPKKARDA only for an RDA.

JS Bank’s RDA FAQ says the bank “will not deduct any charges” on money sent to an RDA, but correspondent banks may charge under their own policy.

Is there a separate code for each branch?

JS Bank does not publish branch-level SWIFT codes. Code-lookup websites may list other codes, but the bank does not confirm them on its site, so we don’t repeat them. If a sender’s bank asks for a different code, call JS Bank on 021-111-654-321 first.

SWIFT code and IBAN are different

The SWIFT code identifies the bank. The IBAN (International Bank Account Number) identifies your own account. A sender abroad usually needs both.

JS Bank describes its IBAN this way: “IBAN in Pakistan will be a 24 digit (fixed length) account number. First 2 digits will be the Country Code, the next 2 digits will be check digits, the next 4 digits will be the Bank code and the last 16 digits will be the customer’s account number.”

The bank’s pages that we could read do not print the 4-letter bank code or a sample IBAN, so we don’t state the code. Some websites give one, but JS Bank does not confirm it on its own site.

Receiving money from abroad

For money sent straight into a bank account, JS Bank’s home remittance FAQ says to give the sender:

  • account title
  • account number with branch code, or IBAN number
  • bank name in Pakistan

For a bank transfer through SWIFT, the sender will also need JSBLPKKA.

JS Bank says it pays home remittances “without any charges”. It lists these ways to receive money:

  • Cash over the counter: “instant cash payments of up to PKR 1,200,000 from any JS Bank branch”. Bring the remittance reference number and your original CNIC (computerised national identity card).
  • JS Bank account transfer: instant credit, free of charge. The bank needs a valid and complete JS Bank account number or IBAN.
  • Other banks: instant credit through IBFT (Inter Bank Funds Transfer) or same-day credit through PRISM/RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), free of charge.

JS Bank says there is “no amount limitation” on receiving a home remittance into an account. If a payment is held because of wrong account details, only the sender’s side can correct it. Warning JS Bank says: “JS Bank will NEVER request personal information by email, phone or SMS, specifically account numbers, passwords, personal identification numbers or any other confidential information.” It asks customers not to respond to any email or SMS that requests confidential information, and not to click links in such messages. Your IBAN is safe to share with a sender; your passwords and PINs are not.
